Cranberry Turkey

Ingredients: 2 to 4 turkey breasts and 1 jar Darla Jean’s Cranberry Pear Sauce.

Directions: Place turkey breasts in slow cooker, pour 1 cup of Darla Jean's Cranberry sauce over turkey. Cook on low for to six hours, or four hours on high. Pour remainder of sauce in jar over turkey, if desired, enjoy!

Coconut Chicken Curry

Ingredients: 2 to 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts, 1 large onion,

1 large red, green and yellow bell pepper.

1/2 cup of Darla Jean's Pear Sauce, 1 can coconut milk, 1 1/2 tsp curry powder.

10 oz frozen peas, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1 tsp cornstarch

Optional: hot pepper sauce

Directions: Place chicken breasts in slow cooker, dice onion and bell peppers and add to chicken. Mix corn starch thoroughly in coconut milk. Add Darla Jean's Pear Sauce, salt and pepper to mixture and pour over chicken breasts.

Cook on low for to six hours, or four hours on high.

Add frozen peas during the last hour of cooking.

Serve over rice, if desired, and  enjoy!

Peking Pork

Ingredients: 6 thin cut pork chops, 1 tsp. ginger, 1 tbsp. minced garlic, 1 cup teriyaki marinade, 1 cup Darla Jean’s Pear Sauce.

Directions: Place pork chops in slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour meat. Cook on low four to six hours.

Moroccan Chicken Tagine

Ingredients:  1 cup Darla Jean’s Pear Sauce, 6 Chicken Breasts, 3 cups chicken broth, 1 can (14.5oz) diced tomatoes with juice, 2 onions chopped, 1 tbsp garlic minced, 2 tsp ground cumin, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp ground coriander, 1/2 tsp red pepper

Separate: 1 tbsp water, 1 tbsp cornstarch, 1 can (15oz) chick peas drained and rinsed

Optional: toasted almonds, fresh cilantro for garnish

 

Instructions: Place chicken in slow cooker, Combine broth, tomatoes and juice, onions, Pear Sauce, garlic, and spices in a bowl.

Pour over chicken and cover, Cook on Low for 5 to 6 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. Combine cornstarch and water in a small bowl and mix until smooth. Stir cornstarch mixture and chick peas into slow cooker, Cover & cook on HIGH for 15 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

Serve chicken over rice or couscous, Pour sauce over chicken

Sprinkle with toasted almonds and fresh cilantro (optional)

Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients:  1 pork tenderloin, 1 jar Darla Jean’s Pear Sauce. Optional, onions cut into wedges. Salt and pepper to taste.

Directions: Place pork tenderloin in slow cooker, (add onions if desired), and one jar Darla Jean’s Pear sauce, salt and pepper. Cook on low for six to eight hours.
